The Popular was both an early model, and a short lived one, and, hence, once again, information is a little thin on the ground, as
are pictures. This was a two berth model, featuring just one fold out bed, but with the option of a further two berths in the optional
under bed pod.
Unfortunately, the Popular did not show in any of the sales brochures of the time, although we have been
able to get hold of a copy of the setup instructions, courtesy of the Conway Owners Club.
The Popular is a three pole
offset design trailer tent, with a flat fronted awning. It was only available in the brown and beige of the picture above.
The
Popular was only made in 1979, and, then, effectively, replaced by the Conway Capri, which was largely identical in both design and
colour scheme.
