2005 Conway Cruiser Setup Video
2007 Conway Cruiser Walk Through
The Cruiser was, originally, manufactured by Conway, up until November 2002, when the company was acquired by main competitors, Pennine. They continued to be manufactured under the Conway banner until 2008, when the recently renamed Pennine Group relaunched the Conway models as part of their own product range. They still retained their Conway names, but any association with the old company was completely severed. By 2010, both models had been further integrated into the fold, with matching liveries and the newly introduced Isabella acrylic canvases.
As the Cruiser is, inherently, a Conway, its history and evolution are covered more in the Conway section of this guide. The dimensions and specifications above, all relate to the Pennine version of the model. Equivalent details for older models can be found on the Conway Cruiser page of the guide.
When the two companies were both active in the marketplace, it is fair to say that the Cruiser was marketed as a direct competitor to the Pennine Pullman. That comparison carried on to its ultimate conclusion, in that the two models became, effectively, the same product, with different interior specifications and equipment. Anyone looking at the page for the Pullman will note that the external dimensions are identical, however, it was mostly trim and colour schemes that varied between the two models. Later versions of the Cruiser also came with U shaped seating in the lounge area.
The Cruiser ceased production in 2013, almost 30 years after the first models left the original Conway factory.
The sales brochures included here are for the post 1998 mdels, which were sold as an integral part of the Pennine range. There are, also, a couple of brief videos, one of which is our own recent project.
