In late 2016, Trigano added the Oztrail range of trailer tents to their list of models.
These models are, quite simply, re branded
versions of the Australian Oztrail range. Other than the names, there is no difference. Their differentiating property is that they
are based on a totally standard trailer unit, and can be removed, in order to allow the trailer to be used as a totally standard load
carrying unit, when the tent is not in use. When required, the tent is simply fixed back on to the tralier, ready to go.
In its
basic format, the Zenith is a two berth model. It does, however, come with a full awning, making it suitable, also, for small
families. Because it is manufactured in Australia, thermal insulation is a key feature, and these models all use the Insulcell system
to achieve this.
The tent part of the unit sits on top of the trailer. It is opened out in a Combi-Camp / pram hood style method,
leaving the bed in place, on top of the trailer. Access to the main trailer storage are is by its rear door, or by lifting up
the mattress and access hatch beneath.
The box area of the trailer is larger than fellow stable mate, the Quest, at 210x125x60cm.
It, also, has a very respectable payload, with a net weight of 500kg (including tent) and a gross weight of 750kg.
In
the Paperwork section, above, is a copy of the current Oztrail manual. There appears to be nothing available, from Trigano, as of
yet, so this is the original Australian manual. However, as stated above, the models are totally identical, other than the names.
The video,
below, is a standard Oztrail Zenith assembly video, by Trigano.
